Student artists recognized at fall art show
The creativity of Pueblo Community College students is on display through Dec. 12 in the Fall 2023 Student Art Show. The exhibit is presented by the Fine Arts, Humanities & Media Communications department.
Students and their work were recognized during an opening reception Dec. 7. Participants submitted pieces in the categories of 2D design, 3D design sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and metalwork, drawing and photography.
Awards were given for first, second and third place in each category, as well as honorable mention. Additional recognition went to the best of show, juror’s choice and chair’s choice award recipients. PCC President Patty Erjavec selected the President’s Purchase Award to become part of the college’s permanent collection.
A virtual gallery of the exhibit is available online. The physical exhibit is open to the public through Dec. 12 in the San Juan Gallery on the second floor of the San Juan building.
Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and admission is free. Parking is available in the adjacent lot on Marilyn Place.
