Steps for Remote Testing

ACCUPLACER:

Note: If you are a high school student with concurrent enrollment please complete the Concurrent Enrollment Accuplacer Request. Otherwise, please follow the steps below.

Student Check List

Before you make an appointment
You must have first applied to be a student at Pueblo Community College and/or any Colorado Community College System College and have a valid student number. Example: S00000000

Check your technical requirements:

  1. You must use a desktop or laptop for testing. Cell phones, IPads or tablets will not work for testing Accuplacer.
  2. Visit the Zoom website, download and install Zoom
  3. Check that Zoom was set up correctly. Please use the option to join with video.
  4. Check that your computer can run ACCUPLACER.  

Make an Accuplacer Appointment:

  1. If your computer is compatible, please email test_center@pueblocc.edu with your full name, a tentative date, if you prefer morning or afternoon test session, your PCC student number, date of birth, and a good phone number where you can be reached. 
  2. We are closed Saturdays and Sundays.
  3. The test can take up to an hour and a half please keep this in mind when scheduling.

Before your appointment

  1. You must have a Valid Photo ID.
  2. Pay the $10 fee for the ACCUPLACER by calling the Cashier Office at 719-549-3212 or visiting them in the Student Center.

Appointment Confirmation

  • After the Testing Center receives a copy of your receipt, a Testing Specialist will email you to confirm the appointment with information containing your link for Zoom and your testing code. 

At your appointment time

  • On the day of your Accuplacer appointment follow the link provided to you in your confirmation email.
  • Have a school or government-issued ID card available
  • You will be allowed two pieces of blank paper to be used during assessment. You will be asked to destroy the paper upon completion of the exam
  • Log on to your exam on time, you will not be allowed to test if you are late.
  • A PCC proctor will give you instructions be prepared to share your screen, show your physical space to the proctor, stay unmuted and video on for full duration of exam.
  • If you have questions prior to your appointment, you can email your proctor at Test_center@pueblocc.edu include in your email the date and time of your appointment and your questions/concerns.

After you are done with the exam

  • Your proctor will direct you on how to download your score report.
  • You will need to destroy the scratch paper provided. 

ATI TEAS Exam with Proctorio

Student Check List

How does it work? The Testing Center at PCC is happy to announce that ATI has partnered with Proctorio to deliver the TEAS exam. Proctorio is a remote monitoring platform that uses artificial intelligence and facial detection to monitor the testing session via a webcam, microphone and screen share. Before you make a TEAS appointment, check the ATI’s requirements to ensure a successful testing session.

To Get Started with TEAS via Proctorio

Check your technical requirements:

  • Desktop or laptop computer with the ability to download Google Chrome (NO iPads, tablets, or phones can be used)
  • Microphone: any microphone, either internal or external
  • Webcam: 320x240 VGA resolution (minimum) internal or external
  • The internet speed required is 0.092 – 0.244 Mbps. You can test your internet speed using www.speedtest.net For a detail list of technical requirements visit: http://www.atitesting.com/technical-requirements
  • Ensure you are using a fully charged laptop or desktop computer
  • Install Google Chrome on your device - you will not be able to take the proctored assessment with any other browser
  • Find a well-lit space and be ready for a room scan prior to beginning your exam​​​​​​

3. Make a TEAS test appointment 

  • Email us at test_center@pueblocc.edu to schedule and let us know the following:   
    • Is your device compatible?
    • Send us 2 dates and times you would like to do the dry-run and the actual exam test (No same day appointments and choose from days listed above.)
      • The 1st date is your dry run exam to make sure the test runs properly. 
        • A dry run exam is required so that we can assure that your computer can run the exam and that there is no issues on day of testing. The portion “Ready to take the assessment?” in the TEAS Guide for Remote Testing document pertains to this dry run.
        • The 2nd date is your actual test.
      • Please let us know, If this is your first attempt or second attempt.

Before your appointment contact the Cashier office (719)549-3212 to pay the $93 fee. Must be paid at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

  • If payment is not received at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, the Testing Center may cancel your TEAS appointment.

Appointment Confirmation

  • After the Testing Center receives a copy of your receipt, a Testing Specialist will contact you to confirm the appointment and to give you the TEAS assessment code. You will need this code to access the TEAS exam on your exam appointment day. The confirmation email will include:

    • How to Pay for TEAS Assessment
  • You must review this information before your TEAS appointment.

At your appointment time

  • On the day of your TEAS appointment, follow the instructions on the ATI Student Quick Start Guide.
  • Have a school or government-issued ID card available.
  • You will be allowed one piece of blank paper to be used during assessment. You will be asked to destroy the paper upon completion of the exam.
  • Start your exam on time. A PCC proctor will be monitoring the ATI portal to approve your exam request.
  • When prompted, entered the TEAS assessment code provided by the proctor in your confirmation email.
  • Continue with the instructions provided on the ATI Student Quick Start Guide to start Proctorio.
  • Your entire exam session will be recorded and reviewed by ATI to ensure test integrity.
  • Once Proctorio starts recording your exam session you will not have communication with the proctor. If you have questions prior to your appointment, you can email your proctor at  Test_center@pueblocc.edu include in your email the date and time of your appointment and your questions/concerns.
  • If you experience issues when installing the Proctorio Chrome extension, please contact ATI Support at 1.800.667.7531. If you experience technical issues during your assessment, contact Proctorio directly via the chat option in the Quiz Tools window. 

After you are done with the exam

  • Download your score report.
