The CIS program prepares you for careers in computer science, computer networking and electronic commerce. The AAS degree with an emphasis in local area networking prepares you to work as a network technician on small and large networks. You may also administer smaller networks as a system administrator. 

Employment of network and computer systems administrators is projected to grow 6 percent through 2026, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Demand for information technology (IT) workers is high and should continue to grow as firms invest in newer, faster technology and mobile networks.

The 2019 median annual wage in Colorado for network and computer systems administrators was $84,910, according to the US Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
