Completing your BAS degree may lead to career opportunities including software architect, developer, program manager, application security specialist, quality assurance tester, information security analyst or computer system analyst.

Employment of software developers is projected to grow 24 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. Software developers will be needed to respond to an increased demand for computer software.

The 2017 yearly salary for systems developers in Colorado ranged from $77,690-$166,020 and job openings are expected to increase by 39 percent between 2014 and 2024. 

The 2017 yearly salary for application developers in Colorado ranged from $62,940-$154,250. Job openings are expected to increase by 35 percent between 2014 and 2024.

The BAS program will prepare you to take the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) test. The average US salary for CSSLPs is $139,000, according to the January 2020 issue of Certification magazine.
