Why PCC?

PCC’s Welding program prepares you for an in-demand career. Our welding faculty has 75 years of combined experience in the welding industry and many faculty members have worked or are currently working in the local field. Many of them work in the very manufacturing facilities in Pueblo that also hire our students.

We train you on the most up-to-date equipment available. In addition to our Pueblo and Mancos campuses, we currently have facilities in the area high schools.

PCC also offers a Welding AAS degree and additional Structural Welding certificates & mini-certificates.

What will I learn?

Welding is not just a trade. It’s a tool for many trades that requires a high level of training and technical knowledge. Welders must be highly skilled and knowledgeable in a variety of welding processes to meet the challenges of modern welding.

PCC’s Welding Technology program will help you develop skills through classroom studies and hands-on experience under close supervised instruction. You’ll learn about structural steel fabrication, layout work and pipe welding following detailed blueprints.

Choose among four certificate programs – fitter or combination welding, low-pressure pipe welding, high-pressure pipe welding and structural welding. Each certificate requires 16-21 credits.
