Senior Mini College returns to PCC Fremont campus

Cañon City – After a multi-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Senior Mini College will return to the Pueblo Community College Fremont campus in 2023.

The 37th edition of the event will be held March 20-24. Class details will be released in February and registration will begin March 1 at the Fremont campus, 51320 W. Highway 50. The mini college is open to adults and retirees of all ages.

Classes are geared toward personal growth and lifelong learning. There are no grades, tests or credits. The diverse list of past topics includes computer use, art, local history, health and wellness, gardening, fossil hunting, financial planning and personal safety.

Classes are taught by volunteers that include local experts, artists, authors and other accomplished individuals. The event planning committee is accepting proposals and topic ideas from potential presenters.

In order to keep participation costs low, the planning committee is also seeking donations and sponsors.
