The Makerspace
Welcome to the heart of creativity in the STEM Center—our Makerspace. This is where ideas move beyond the page and into the real world. From designing prototypes and exploring new hobbies to bringing class projects to life, the Makerspace is your place to build, experiment, and innovate.
Equipped with industry-relevant tools and creative technologies, the Makerspace gives you hands-on access to experiences you won’t find in a traditional classroom. Students can explore 3D printing (including both filament and resin printing), precision design with CNC machining, and laser cutting and engraving using both Glowforge and xTool systems. From engineering prototypes to personalized creations, the possibilities are endless.
For those interested in design and customization, our Cricut machines and heat press allow you to create professional-quality vinyl projects, apparel, and decals. If you enjoy working with electronics, our soldering stations provide the tools to build circuits and develop practical technical skills.
The Makerspace also supports creative expression through sewing machines, textile tools, and a wide variety of crafting materials—including vinyl, UV resin, and general art supplies—making it a perfect environment for both technical and artistic exploration.
Throughout the semester, students can participate in hands-on workshops like resin jewelry making or soldering electronics, where guided sessions introduce new tools, techniques, and project ideas. From beginner-friendly activities to advanced builds, these workshops are designed to help you learn by doing.
More than just a lab, the Makerspace is a collaborative environment where creativity, innovation, and curiosity come together. It’s a space to try something new, develop valuable skills, and turn your ideas into something tangible.
