The name Goodnight is familiar to most Puebloans, but do you really know the man behind the name? Charles Goodnight was a pioneer cattle-drover and rancher who had an impact that outlasted his brief eight years in Pueblo, including one of the oldest buildings in Pueblo County. Discover his story and see just why Goodnight served as an inspiration for Larry McMurtry in Lonesome Dove.
