Mission
The Pueblo Community College Library empowers students to be informed participants in careers and society by providing equal access to information, teaching information literacy and critical thinking skills, and creating opportunity for community engagement.
Services
Pueblo Community College Library services are available to currently enrolled PCC students, faculty and staff.
Course Reserves
- Materials in Course Reserves are intended to supplement course content and are available at the Pueblo and Fremont campus libraries, the Mancos Learning/Testing Center, and the Durango front desk. Faculty may lend or donate materials for the course reserves collection.
Events, Programs, and Book Displays
- The Pueblo Campus Library provides a variety of events and programs that support PCC’s curriculum and learning atmosphere. Currently enrolled PCC students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join these events. Posters and other marketing materials are available to show the library’s current and upcoming events, programs, and book displays.
Online Resources
- Library users can access the library catalog and academic databases through the PCC Library webpage, MyCourses, and on the PCC Portal. Choose Colorado Community Colleges Login, then enter your S number and password at the prompt for access to eBooks and databases.
Passes
- Passes are available for checkout at the Pueblo Campus Library for currently enrolled students over the age of eighteen only. Passes permit free entry to numerous Pueblo museums, the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, Pueblo Zoo, and Colorado State Parks.
Physical Materials
- Books and other physical materials are available for checkout at the Pueblo and Fremont campuses.
Research Assistance
- Research assistance is available by selecting Book a Librarian and Ask A Librarian on the PCC Library Webpage. Group research assistance may also be available. Chat, in-person, and virtual reference services are provided.
- The PCC Library Classroom is designed to help students learn about and conduct research successfully. It is an optional course available to all students and is located in the MyCourses Learning Management System.
Study Spaces
- The Pueblo Campus Library offers private study rooms by reservation or walk-in basis. Open study spaces in a quiet, comfortable environment are also provided. The Fremont Campus Library/Learning Center provides open study spaces and private study rooms on a first-come/first-served basis.
Technology
- Black and white printing and scanning options are available in the Pueblo Campus Library. The Pueblo Campus Library offers a laptop kiosk available for currently enrolled students. Students must bring their physical PCC student ID to use the kiosk. In addition, the Pueblo Campus Library offers computer accessories, calculators, and digital voice recorders for check out. The Fremont Campus Library/Learning Center offers laptops and printing.
