Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I go part-time?

A. The program is designed for the working dental hygiene professional. Only one eight week course is offered at a time. All enrolled students will proceed through the curriculum as a cohort to graduate in four semesters, excluding summer semester. 

 
Q. Is the Degree Completion program completely online?

A. Yes.
 

Q. How long does it take to complete the program? 

A. Program can be completed in 1 or 2 year track. Please seek advisement from a dental hygiene advisor to discuss options.

 
Q. Is there financial aid available?

A. Students can apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Scholarships may be available for students. More details and additional information on financial aid can be obtained by contacting the PCC financial aid office at 719-549-3200 or by email at Financial.Aid@pueblocc.edu.
 

Q. How many credit hours do I need to graduate?

A. Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours through Pueblo Community College.  The Dental Hygiene BAS program credits will equate to 24 upper level 300/400 credits. To earn a Baccalaureate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene requires a total of 120 credit hours.
