Program Student Learning Outcomes
Graduated of the Dental Hygiene Program will:
- Be prepared academically and clinically to take the national and regional/state dental hygiene licensing examinations.
- Be prepared to provide quality preventive and therapeutic care utilizing professional knowledge, judgment and skill.
- Be able to demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal communication, ethical reasoning, decision making, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Be prepared to pursue lifelong professional growth and development opportunities through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in professional organizations.
- Provide guidance, information, evaluation and role modeling that will foster the development of a skilled dental health professional.
