Cosmetology

What will I learn?

PCC’s Cosmetology program will teach you job entry skills, customer communication and shop procedures. Our instruction includes professional ethics, business, chemistry, anatomy, bacteriology, shampoo and rinses, color theory, hair coloring techniques, permanent waving, hair styling and cutting, manicures, pedicures, facials, makeup, and federal and state safety and sanitation regulations.

Your clinical experience will involve working with clients under the supervision of your instructors while following actual shop procedures in order to prepare you for your career.

Professional Licensure Disclosure

The licensure requirements for the Cosmetology program may differ between all 50 states and U.S. territories.  

Pueblo Community College (PCC) recommends each student visit the Cosmetology State Licensing Requirements page to identify the program requirements for each state in which you plan to live and practice.  

PCC can only guarantee that the requirements for the state of Colorado are met with our program.
