Our program enables students to be successful in today’s media environments and design-driven industries. You’ll develop a broad range of skills in visualization, communication, presentation, writing and technology. Learn about the importance of research, critical thinking, and unique cultural perspectives.

The Web Design and Development program teaches you the necessary coding languages to build and maintain websites, mobile applications, and other interactive multimedia. We go beyond the basics, adding the high-demand skills of database development, basic networking, aesthetics, and search engine optimization and analytics. The focus is on coding languages that allow for full customization, creating responsive user centered experiences and prototyping. This integrated curriculum includes courses in business, communication, UX/UI design, and project management.   

What will I learn?

PCC’s Web Design and Development program teaches you the necessary coding languages to build and maintain websites, mobile applications and other interactive multimedia. We go beyond the basics, adding the high-demand skills of database development, basic networking, aesthetics, and search engine optimization and analytics. This integrated curriculum includes courses in business, communication, design and project management. Our software applications are current with industry standards.

You will be able to employ current technologies and manage and test digital media applications that adhere to industry standards. You’ll practice communications theory, conceptual and creative development, and careful consideration of the end-user experience – all while meeting the needs of customers with sound business practices. You will gain the knowledge you need to earn gainful employment or start your own business.
