Welding

Why PCC?

An Associate of Applied Science degree from PCC’s Welding program prepares you for an in-demand career. Our welding faculty has 75 years of combined experience in the welding industry and many faculty members have worked or are currently working in the local field. Many of them work in the very manufacturing facilities in Pueblo that also hire our students.

We train you on the most up-to-date equipment available. In addition to our Pueblo and Mancos campuses, we currently have facilities in the area high schools.

PCC also offers a Welding certificate program that provides training in the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and Oxyacetylene cutting process. This training is also included in the degree program. This two-semester program stresses print reading and applied metal properties. It prepares you for employment in the industry in the shortest possible time.

What will I learn?

The Welding AAS degree offers advanced instruction if you have finished the basic welding courses or if you are already working in the profession and wish to upgrade your skills.

We also give qualification tests if you wish to be become qualified in a welding process.
