Winners announced for Spring 2025 Student Art Show

Pueblo Community College students contributed their talents to the Spring 2025 Student Art Show, submitting several dozen original pieces in eight categories – 3D design, ceramics, design and multimedia, drawing, figure drawing, jewelry, painting and photography.

PCC's Fine Arts, Humanities & Media Communications department presented the exhibition. At the May 9 opening reception, awards were announced for first, second and third place in each category. Most categories also included honorable mentions.

Elizabeth Untiedt’s ceramic creation, “She Sells Sea Shells,” won the Best of Show award. Juror’s Choice was “Revert to Monke” by Shaina Diedrichs (ceramics) and Kahlize Tobin received the Chair’s Choice award for her jewelry piece, “Fractured”.

PCC President Chato Hazelbaker selected two works for the President’s Purchase Award: “Mellow Yellow” by Kahlize Tobin (painting) and “Saloon in Bloom” by Rye Phillips (photography). Each piece will become part of the school’s permanent collection. The exhibit can be viewed online in the virtual gallery. Past exhibitions also are archived online.
