PCC ceremonies to honor 1,903 graduates

PUEBLO – Pueblo Community College will recognize 1,903 graduates during its 2026 spring commencement ceremonies.

Pueblo and Fremont Campus students will graduate Thursday, May 14 at the Southwest Motors Events Center at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. PCC Southwest Campus students will be recognized Saturday, May 16 at Mancos-Cortez High School.

All events are free and open to the public. Two ceremonies will be held at each location:

Pueblo – 3 p.m., Arts and Sciences division and Business and Advanced Technology divisions; 6 p.m., Medical and Behavioral Health division/Health Professions and Public Safety division

Mancos – 11 a.m., Arts and Sciences/Business and Advanced Technology; 1 p.m., Medical and Behavioral Health/Health Professions and Public Safety

Some students will earn multiple credentials in programs such as computer information systems, automotive technology, emergency medical services and behavioral health, resulting in a total of 2,576 degrees and certificates awarded.

Forty-nine students will receive bachelor’s degrees. Of those, 31 are graduating from PCC’s nursing program.

Among the 2026 class are 539 high school students who are earning an associate degree or credential through the concurrent enrollment program. It allows students to earn college credit while attending high school, and tuition costs are covered by each school district. This year’s concurrent enrollment students earned 710 degrees and credentials.

PCC will also recognize the 2026 President’s Distinguished Scholars. Students are selected by committee and must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and commitment to excellence. This year’s awardees:

Ryan Stanton, Pueblo Campus – Stanton will graduate with an associate degree in cybersecurity and continue at PCC to complete his bachelor’s degree, also in cybersecurity. He hopes to start his own IT business or work as a security publisher and journalist.

Blake Smith, Fremont Campus – Smith is graduating with an associate degree in sociology with plans to become a social worker in children's hospitals or a disability advocate after earning his bachelor’s degree.  

Luke North, Southwest Campus – North will earn an associate degree in nursing and enter the 12-month graduate residency program at Mercy Hospital in Durango, working in the emergency department. He also plans to earn his bachelor’s degree in nursing.
