Ashlee Haze Spoken-word Performance

12:00pm - 01:00pm

Ashlee Haze spoken-word performance

12-1 pm, Hoag Theater

(Remote broadcast to Fremont Campus Commons & Mancos Campus Room 103)

An Ashlee Haze performance is a 60-minute encounter with the spectrum of emotions we experience as a part of being human. You can expect to think about your personal origins as she tells stories of her childhood and growth journey. Haze offers reflections on love and what makes or breaks it as she shares work from her book "SMOKE." You can expect to be empowered as a woman, queer person, femme, or human just trying to become a better version of yourself. She's funny, intuitive, and honest. You can expect to be surprised with form poetry such as haiku, and to be captivated by her comedic interludes. After her performance, be prepared to want to be first in line to purchase a book or merchandise with her trademark saying “Hydrate, moisturize, & mind your business.”
