PCC names new administrator for Fremont campus

Michael MaffucciCAÑON CITY – Michael Maffucci is the new administrator for the Pueblo Community College Fremont campus.

Maffucci is not a stranger to PCC or the Fremont and Custer County communities. He spent seven years working for the college, first as the director of student life and leadership on the Pueblo campus, then as director of student services for the Fremont campus.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Mike back to PCC in this role of administrator for the Fremont campus,” said PCC President Patty Erjavec. “Mike knows the college and the community, and his passion for student success is undeniable. He is sure to be a great contributor to PCC.”

In addition to his previous tenure with PCC, Maffucci was the director of student engagement at South Piedmont Community College in North Carolina from 2010-2014. Most recently, he worked as director of operations for a land clearing company in North Carolina.

“I am very excited to be back in Colorado and returning to PCC,” said Maffucci. “I can't wait to start working with my colleagues and our community partners in Fremont and Custer counties.”

Maffucci earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation and leisure studies at the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Louisiana State University.
