TRIO Upward Bound

What is TRIO Upward Bound?

TRIO Upward Bound (UB)/Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) is a FREE federally funded program designed to assist 196 eligible students to successfully complete high school and prepare for success and enroll in college. Academic instruction, tutoring, career counseling and training, cultural enrichment, and skill-building in the areas of leadership and college preparation are the primary services provided.

The TRIO Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math & Science Mission

The mission of TRIO UB/UBMS is to prepare students for college and lifelong learning; and to instill the ideas of achievement in all aspects necessary to succeed collegiately, culturally and socially. The mission also includes building an atmosphere that enhances positive self-esteem while fostering unity and collaboration. In essence, TRIO UB/UBMS helps students helps students actualize their full potential.

The Pueblo Community College TRIO Upward Bound/Upward Bound Math & Science grants currently serve the following schools:

  • Grant 1: Central, East and DHPH
  • Grant 2: Centennial, County, DHPH, South
  • UBMS: Centennial, Central, County, East, DHPH, South

  • TRIO Upward Bound Grant 2: $309,505
  • TRIO Upward Bound Math & Science: $309,505
