Grants are free money to help you pay for college. They are often "need-based" and do not have to be repaid. There are a variety of federal and state grants available at PCC, each with different eligibility requirements.

A need-based grant provided to low-income undergraduate students that does not have to be paid back*.
*Total withdrawal from classes or all failing grades in a semester may result in paying back grant funds, always consult the PCC Financial Aid Office when considering a withdrawal.

Just graduated from high school? There’s a $1500 scholarship just for you! If you enroll at PCC this fall or spring, following your high school graduation date, you qualify for PCC’s Cap and Gown Award. Receive $1,500 to be used toward your tuition and fees for one semester. This credit is in addition to any other financial aid or scholarships you may receive.
Career Advance Colorado provides zero-cost training for in-demand jobs to. Starting in August 2023, students who enroll in one of the following training programs will have their tuition, fees, course materials, and other costs covered while funding is available:

New students who register for classes can receive 3 free credits with PCC’s 3 on Me offer. This offer covers up to $500 in tuition. To qualify, you must be a new student or returning to PCC after at least one semester off. You must also be eligible for the College Opportunity Fund program.
3 on Me applications will be sent to students via email or can be completed during academic advising meetings or success coaching sessions.
Students taking ECE 1011 and ECE 1031 may be eligible to receive funds to cover in-state tuition and course-related fees for those two classes.
Students who are enrolled in these courses will receive an application after census date.
Colorado residents who are returning to school to earn their certificate or degree may be eligible for up to $2,000 in financial assistance through this program. Students must meet the following criteria:

These micro-pathways can be completed in 1 semester (less than 16 weeks). All courses are available online. All credits apply to the Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health degree.

Students enrolled in a CTE certificate program that is not more than 15 credit hours and can be completed in a single semester may be eligible for a grant under this program. Students must also be Colorado residents, remain in good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need. Students may not receive a PELL grant and CTE grant concurrently.
The maximum award for the CTE grant is $2,250 applied to tuition, fees, and course related materials.
